Team Resources

Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step and signed-up for The Community Cup. Now it’s time to assemble your team. Whether it’s your first time competing or you’re coming back for round two, we want to ensure you are equipped with everything you need to know in order to successfully claim the Cup!

COVID-19 Update

The Community Cup, presented by The Columbus Foundation, was designed to bring the community together. Whether participants showed up to win the coveted tug of war event or they simply wanted to build camaraderie among their co-workers, we know that this experience is special. Understanding that the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, has temporarily changed the way we interact with sports, it’s more important than ever to carefully consider how we will move forward with the event on Aug. 1 with the health and safety of the participants, staff and volunteers the priority. The Greater Columbus Sports Commission will continue to work in accordance with Gov. DeWine’s mandates and align with the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning COVID-19.

As the situation continues to evolve and Ohio Gov. DeWine updates the state reopening plan, we are dedicated to providing clear, open communication to the teams and sponsors during this time.

Updated Registration Cost and Competition Schedule

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting registration to a flat fee of $1,000 regardless of company size. Competition will still be a main component of The Community Cup, however, we will be revamping scoring to reflect the limited time frame teams will have to prepare for the event.
